Gerber Viewer Online: View PCB Gerber and Drill Files Free
Open Gerber and Excellon drill files, or the zip from KiCad, EasyEDA, Eagle or Altium, and see the board as the fab will make it: solder mask, copper, silkscreen and holes, zoomable to the last 0.1 mm track. Nothing uploaded.
How it works
Add the Gerber files
Drop the zip your CAD program made, or the Gerber and drill files themselves. They are read in your browser.
Check the board
Each layer is named from its attributes or file name. See the top, the bottom and the layer stack, and zoom into any part.
Download
The board as PNG or SVG, or a layer as SVG, PDF or DXF, all at real size.
Gerber viewer online: check a PCB before you order it
A Gerber viewer shows what the board house will make from your files, not what your CAD program showed you. This online Gerber viewer reads every layer (copper, solder mask, silkscreen, paste, outline) and the Excellon drill file, names each one from its X2 attributes or its file name, and draws the board as it comes back from the fab: green mask over copper, gold pads in the openings, white legend, holes through it all.
It is a Gerber file viewer that needs nothing installed: drop the zip that KiCad, EasyEDA, Eagle, Altium, OrCAD or DipTrace made and view Gerber files online free. The files are read in your browser and never uploaded, which matters for a board that is not yet public.
Zoom in with the wheel or the buttons and the edges stay sharp: the picture is vector, so a 0.1 mm track at 4000% is a 0.1 mm track, not a blur. Switch to the layer stack to see every layer in its own colour and check that the mask openings sit on the pads.
Why check Gerbers in a separate viewer?
Because the files, not the design, are what gets made. The classic mistakes only show here: a silkscreen layer exported from the wrong side, a missing board outline (the fab then guesses), a mask layer with no openings, a drill file in inches read as millimetres, an outline on a copper layer. This Gerber viewer reads the files the way a fab does, to the Ucamco specification, so what you see is what you get back.
How accurate is it?
The reader was checked layer by layer against KiCad's own plots of its demo boards at 80 pixels per millimetre (12.5 microns a pixel): apart from the anti-aliased edge, no pixel differed. It was also run on real boards from Eagle, Altium and gEDA and on the Gerber specification's own test files, against gerbv and tracespace.
How to view Gerber files online
- Export Gerbers and a drill file from your CAD program, or take the zip you are about to send to the fab.
- Drop the zip or all the files on the box above.
- Check the layer list: each file's type and side are filled in for you; correct one if your CAD named it oddly.
- Look at the top and the bottom, then the layer stack; zoom into the fine-pitch parts.
- Download a PNG or SVG of the board for documentation if you want one.

Why it matters
Nothing uploaded
Unreleased boards and client work stay on your computer. Everything runs in this tab.
Real size, always
Every output is in millimetres at 1:1. Printed masks carry a 50 mm bar so you can check the printer.
Read like a fab reads it
Apertures, macros, arcs, regions, clear polarity and step-and-repeat, checked against KiCad's own plots and gerbv.
Questions
Which Gerber files does it open?
RS-274X Gerber, with or without X2 attributes, from KiCad, EasyEDA, Eagle, Altium, OrCAD, DipTrace, gEDA, Proteus and others, and Excellon drill files (.drl, .xln, .txt, .drd). A zip of them all works.
Is my design uploaded anywhere?
No. The viewer runs in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.
Why is my board shown as a box?
No board outline layer was found (Edge.Cuts in KiCad, .gko or .gm1 elsewhere). The box is the extent of the artwork. Fabs need the outline too, so add it before you order.
Can it open old RS-274D files?
Only if the apertures are in the file. RS-274D kept them in a separate aperture list, which is why it was replaced; export RS-274X instead.
Which files can I open?
Gerber RS-274X (with or without X2 attributes) from KiCad, EasyEDA, Eagle, Altium, OrCAD, DipTrace and gEDA, and Excellon drill files. A zip of all of them works.
Is my board uploaded?
No. The files are read in this browser tab.
