Gerber to PDF
Turn a Gerber layer into a vector PDF at exactly 1:1, with a 50 mm scale bar to check the print, or an etch mask for toner transfer and photoresist.
How it works
Add the Gerber files
Drop the zip your CAD program made, or the Gerber and drill files themselves. They are read in your browser.
Check the board
Each layer is named from its attributes or file name. See the top, the bottom and the layer stack, and zoom into any part.
Download
The board as PNG or SVG, or a layer as SVG, PDF or DXF, all at real size.
Gerber to pdf: convert gerber to pdf, print gerber file
Gerber to PDF at exactly 1:1: a vector PDF of a layer with a 50 mm scale bar beside it, so you can check the print with a ruler before you trust it. Print Gerber files for a review, an assembly drawing, or to lay real parts on to check footprints before ordering.
Printing for toner transfer or photoresist? The PCB etch mask page mirrors the right layers and leaves the drill holes as centring dots.
My PDF printed the wrong size
The printer scaled it. In the print dialog choose "Actual size" or 100%, never "Fit to page", then measure the 50 mm bar. If it measures 49 mm, the printer is scaling, not the file.
Why it matters
Nothing uploaded
Unreleased boards and client work stay on your computer. Everything runs in this tab.
Real size, always
Every output is in millimetres at 1:1. Printed masks carry a 50 mm bar so you can check the printer.
Read like a fab reads it
Apertures, macros, arcs, regions, clear polarity and step-and-repeat, checked against KiCad's own plots and gerbv.
Questions
Which files can I open?
Gerber RS-274X (with or without X2 attributes) from KiCad, EasyEDA, Eagle, Altium, OrCAD, DipTrace and gEDA, and Excellon drill files. A zip of all of them works.
Is my board uploaded?
No. The files are read in this browser tab.
