Compared with Vectorizer.io
Vectorizer.io is a straightforward web tracer with a credit-based free tier. The comparison comes down to what happens after the trace.
Free tier shape
Theirs meters conversions, because each one costs them server time. Ours runs in your browser, which costs us nothing, so conversion itself is unlimited and the paid plan covers the machine formats instead.
Where the file goes
Theirs is uploaded. Ours is not, which also means it works with no connection once the page has loaded.
Machine formats
Theirs produces SVG, EPS, PDF and DXF. Ours adds G-code, STL and a PLT reader, plus the checks that matter before cutting: declared units, closed paths, feature width against your tool.
Editing afterwards
Neither a trace nor a conversion is usually final. Ours includes an editor that opens the result so you can delete the speck the tracer found, move a path, or recolour a layer without a round trip through another program.
Working offline
Because the tracing runs in the page, it keeps working on a poor connection or none once the page has loaded: useful in a workshop or at a market stall.
Which to choose
For an occasional SVG from a clean logo, either will do. If the file is going on to a laser, a router, a vinyl cutter or an embroidery machine, or the artwork cannot be uploaded, the in-browser route saves a step and a worry.
Try it on your own file
The only comparison that settles it is your artwork through both tools. Ours is free and needs no account.
