Church Banner Design

Design a church banner with your service times, a welcome and your address, at an outdoor size such as 2 x 1 m or 3 x 1 m, or as a roll-up for the entrance. Download a print-ready PDF.

How it works

  1. Choose the banner size

    Metric (2 x 1 m, 3 x 1 m, 1.5 x 0.5 m) or feet (4 x 2, 6 x 3, 8 x 4 and 10 x 3 ft). The design is drawn at that size.

  2. Pick a template

A sale, a business with a photo, graduation, an event, a grand opening, a church service, a birthday party or hiring. Change every word, colour and photo.

  3. Send it to the printer

The print-shop PDF has 3 mm of bleed and crop marks; EPS and SVG suit sign makers who cut vinyl. A JPG or PNG is there to share it first.

Why it matters

Drawn at the real size

The PDF is the banner's size in millimetres, so the printer does not have to stretch it.

Big words that read from afar

Templates keep to a few large words: a banner is read from across a street.

Ready for any printer

PDF with bleed, EPS and SVG, the files print and sign shops ask for.

Questions

Can I add a verse?

Yes: add text from the left panel or change any line on the banner.

What resolution should a banner be?

A large banner seen from a few metres does not need 300 dpi: 100 to 150 dpi at full size is usual. The PDF here is drawn at up to 12,000 pixels across, which is about 150 dpi on a 2 m banner and 100 dpi on a 3 m one.

What are common banner sizes?

2 x 1 m and 3 x 1 m for shop fronts and events, 6 x 3 ft and 8 x 4 ft in the US, and 1.5 x 0.5 m for small shops and tables.

How big should the words be?

About 2.5 cm of letter height for every metre it will be read from: a name read from 10 metres wants letters around 25 cm tall.

Does the printer need bleed?

Most do: choose the print-shop PDF, which carries the colour 3 mm past the edge and marks where to cut. Ask yours if they also want room for eyelets or a pole pocket.
