Facebook shows 820 x 312 on computers and 640 x 360 on phones (cropping the sides). 1640 x 624 covers both, sharp.
What size is a banner?
It depends where it goes: a LinkedIn banner is 1584 x 396 pixels, a Facebook cover 1640 x 624 (shown at 820 x 312 on computers), an X header 1500 x 500, a YouTube channel banner 2560 x 1440 and a website hero often 1920 x 600. Printed banners are measured in metres or feet: see the banner design page.
Why does my YouTube banner get cut off?
YouTube shows the whole 2560 x 1440 picture only on TVs. Phones and computers show the middle 1546 x 423, so the YouTube size here keeps your words and logo inside that strip.
Can I use my own photo?
Yes: click a photo frame, then Replace and choose your picture. Remove background cuts a person or product out of it.
