Questions
How do I convert PDF to TXT?
Drop your PDF file on this page, check the preview, and press Download. The TXT is made in a few seconds, with no sign-up.
Is my PDF file uploaded anywhere?
No. The pdf to txt conversion runs in your browser, on your own device. The file never leaves it.
How do I convert PDF to text?
Drop the file on this page, check the preview, and press Download text. The conversion runs in your browser in a second or two.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
A scanned PDF is pictures of pages with no text in it, so there is nothing to read; you would need OCR first. PDFs made from Word, a browser or a typesetting program have text and convert well.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so the file never reaches a server. It works offline once the page has loaded.
